Welcome to Kirkwood, Missouri
Kirkwood is a western suburb of St. Louis located in St. Louis County, Missouri. Founded in 1853, the city is named after James P. Kirkwood, builder of the Pacific Railroad in the area at that time. It was the first planned suburb located west of the Mississippi River. Kirkwood is home to several St. Louis area attractions and events including, The Greentree Festival , Kirkwood Station, Frank Lloyd Wright house in Ebsworth Park, The National Museum of Transportation, The Kirkwood Farmers' Market, and The Magic House, St. Louis Children's Museum.
